Deafness in One Ear Instantly Healed
A number of years ago I was very
close to a friend named Darrin. One day he, his wife and two boys were
over at our house spending the day, when an ultralight (airplane) flew overhead.
I do not remember an ultralight flying overhead anytime before or after during the 12
years I lived in that home, but it did that day. It sounded kind of like a
lawn mower, and I remarked about the ultralight--something unusual and
interesting. He looked all around, but couldn't locate where the sound was
coming from until I pointed it out. That seemed strange to me, so he
commented that he was mostly deaf in one ear.
After grilling out for dinner that evening, we got our young children down and began worshipping the Lord, singing and playing our guitars. While doing so the thought of his ear came back into my mind--I had forgotten about it. It seemed to me to be an impression from the Lord, because I also suddenly knew which ear it was (we didn't mention which ear it was that afternoon). My impression was to lay my hand on that ear and pray for it. I did, and I expected God to heal it--but how would I know? I clapped my hands behind his back (out of his view) and asked him where the sound came from. Each time I did he correctly pointed to the area. But I wasn't satisfied--I felt there was something better for verification. He said "the telephone". (Of course--it should have been obvious to me.) He heard out of each ear just fine, confirming that his ear was miraculously and instantly healed from deafness!
