Stuck in the Mountains
Many years ago, when my family was small, and my oldest was pre-school, we went with my sister and her husband to the mountains in their car. After having a great day, we got back into the car to head back. However it wouldn't start. We tried for a good while, and got quite frustrated, when my son piped up and stated: "It's just da debil" (which being interpreted is "It's just the devil"). Well, we all prayed about it, tried one more time...and amazingly...it just started right up! We had no trouble--drove right back from the mountains, went home and to bed. The next morning my brother-in-law couldn't crank the car. Nothing would start it. He had to have it towed to get it repaired. It had an electrical problem that made it impossible to run (not one of those "intermittent" things) until it was repaired--and was the ONLY problem that needed to be repaired, having no difficulty after that electrical repair.
Do I know this was a miracle? How can you know? Does it matter? I'm glad it worked immediately after the prayer, and thank God for getting us home with NO difficulty after that prayer!
