Briarcliffe Acres
Beautifully wooded between Highway 17 and the beach,
Briarcliffe Acres is right across the street from the Colonial Mall (which is
just north of Highway 22). Briarcliffe Acres includes luxury oceanfront
homes, ocean view homes, second row homes, and a lovely forested neighborhood
all the way out to Highway 17. Approximate prices of these luxury homes for

Located inside the main Grande Dunes gated community, which is
on Highway 17 Bypass just south of the Business-Bypass split (about two and one
half miles south of Highwy 22 on Highway 17). Turn towards the
Intracoastal Waterway (away from the ocean) and go into the magnificent
entrance, to the guardhouse of the gated entrance. There is a bridge
(which has the elegance of Roman architecture) which takes you over the
Intracoastal Waterway. Turn left at the end--Cadiz is a new section which

Calais (Grande Dunes)
Off North Ocean Boulevard just a short walk to the Grande
Dunes Ocean Club (which is on the beach). Calais is just north of Grande Dunes

On the Intracoastal Waterway on the west side. From

locations in Myrtle Beach, it's about 2 miles south of Highway 22, and a fun
golf cart ride to the beach along a paved cart path into The Dunes Club and to

Grande Dunes
On Highway 17 Bypass just south of the Business-Bypass split
(about two and one half miles south of Highway 22 on Highway 17) is the entrance
to the Grande Dunes. The Grande Dunes is the most extraordinarily
appointed and manicured community in Myrtle Beach--perhaps in the Carolinas.
Exquisite homes of Mediterranean and Tuscan design, magnificent architecture, landscaping
and scenery throughout. Turn towards the Intracoastal Waterway (away from
the ocean) and go into the stately entrance, to the guardhouse. There is a
bridge (which has the elegance of Roman architecture) which takes you over the
Intracoastal Waterway. Gorgeous scenery throughout, especially so for
those situated on the Intracoastal Waterway.

Long Bay and Long Bay Extension
Long Bay and Long Bay Extension are in the same area, from
approximately 76th to 82nd Avenue North, Long Bay is one of the most desirable
stretches of beach, due it's great proximity to Myrtle Beaches best attractions
and due to the fact that it rises much more rapidly as you go back from the
beach, giving much greater protection from flooding during Hurricanes.
Long Bay and Long Bay Extension have traditional oceanfront homes, ocean view
homes, and second row homes between Business 17 and the beach. Approximate

Long Bay Estates
Immediately south of Myrtle Beach State Park on the south end
of Myrtle Beach, between Business 17 and the beach, including many second row
and ocean front homes for sale. Confusingly, many MLS listings have
incorrectly labeled homes from other areas, such as Long Bay Plantation (prices
in the $300's to $500's) or Long Bay (similar to Long Bay Estates, but on the
north end of Myrtle Beach) as Long Bay Estates. Rough prices** of these

Estates
Myrtle Heights
Many homes listed on the MLS as "Myrtle Heights" are actually in an
area considered to be "Oak Park",
which is a highly desirable area of ocean front, ocean view, and second row
homes. Myrtle Heights and The Dunes Club are the original subdivisions of Myrtle Beach.
The traditional Myrtle Heights is south of
501 and 3rd Avenue South, and west of Broadway, and is an older, less expensive
community. Nevertheless these wonderful oceanfront, ocean view and 2nd row
homes listed as "Myrtle Heights" are located approximately between 31st and 47th Avenue North, and
Business 17 and the beach. (The link shows only homes which are
oceanfront, ocean view, and second row homes for sale. The original Myrtle

Coming from International Boulevard (& John Grissom Parkway) The Battery On The
Waterway is just past The Bluffs On The Waterway, and with similar pricing.
The Intracoastal Waterway views are similar for these communities, for the homes
which have lots with frontage. Fabulous, well appointed neighborhood which
is building a very desirable clubhouse for the community. These
communities are so new, that most homes are still under construction and the
